Exciting Updates November Edition

Dear Friends of Cornwall on Hudson Special Events,

As Cornwall on Hudson Special Events (COHSE) prepares for our most eventful season of the year, we wanted to share a few updates and ask your support.

In August, we shared important updates about our ongoing efforts to enhance communication and raise awareness of the vital community initiatives we lead. If you missed our last communication, please take a moment to catch up here.

As we delve into November, we want to provide you with an update on the exciting initiatives that COHSE and our partners have in store for the community.

1. Community Awards Event:

While we initially planned to kick off the holiday season with the Community Awards, we have made the decision to postpone this event until March 2024. This delay will allow us to ensure that the initiative is well understood and everyone has the opportunity to participate in the nomination process. Keep an eye on updates in the Cornwall Local and through our social channels in the coming months for more information.

2. Village Tree Lighting on December 3rd:

We are excited to host the Village Tree Lighting as part of Winter Wonderland. Last year, we surprised the Village with a new chair for Santa, a visit from the Snow Queen, and an incredible float that paraded through the town and the village, delivering the NYE Ball. This year, we have an enormous surprise in the works, and you will have to see it to believe it. In the meantime, we have hidden a few "easter eggs" promoting the event in various places. For additional details, please visit our dedicated website: Winter Wonderland Cornwall

3. New Year's Eve (NYE) Celebrations:

On NYE, we are joining forces with the youth committee to support the highly anticipated junior ball drop for those who are unable to join the evening festivities. The youth committee has many exciting plans in store, and we believe they will deliver an incredible experience. This year, we won't be introducing a major new initiative since our focus will be on supporting the youth committee's efforts. We are committed to making the ball drop an extraordinary event, with professional fireworks and an amazing DJ. Additionally, we aspire to illuminate the Storm King Building and proudly display our beautiful flag on the roof.

As a community-supported committee, we wouldn't be able to achieve these wonderful initiatives without your continued support. Your contributions make a significant difference in our ability to serve the community and create memorable events.

We kindly ask you to consider making a donation to support our efforts here. COHSE is a nonprofit organization under the Community Foundation of Orange & Sullivan. For corporate matching and other tax purposes, please use the following information:
